Check Your Pockets | Living as Lopes: Finding Your Purpose Season 1 Episode 5

(upbeat music) – (accented) Good evening. (laughing) – Don’t do that. – [Camera Man] It’s like a Russian accent. – (accented) Good evening everybody, today we’re here at Casino Night. – You sound like Dracula (laughing) – (unaccented) Good evening everybody. Here, we’re all dressed formal
’cause it’s Casino Night, and I don’t really know
what Casino Night is, but… – We’re gonna go find out. – And we’re gonna be drinking mocktails. – Mocktails
– Yes! – We have a card first. Let’s see where the chips
fall. In this envelope, there’s a fake thunder
poker chip. The person with the thunder poker chip
at the end of the night will split any real chips
that they earn amongst the rest of the cast. So pay attention. – [Camera Woman] So
basically, um, if you have the poker chip you’re trying
to get it to like, someone else. So like if you look
away and like when you look and the poker chip’s in
front of you at the table or something, then it’s
yours. So you’re trying not to get the poker chip
– Oh. – This is going to be interesting. We have to sneak this poker chip around. – [Camera Woman] So,
everyone close your eyes. – Oh my gosh.
– Oh god. No, no, no, no, no. – Oh no.
– Ah that’s better. – [Camera Woman] No one
will know who has it. – [Girl In Yellow] Oh no.
– I will cry. – Hi.
– So… I don’t know uh okay. – Thank you. – Here you go. – Thank you. – Alright I’m putting
this in my back pocket. Not where the chip is, or is there. – Or is it? Is it in your pocket? – Nobody knows. – Oh. Oh this is so (squeals) – Oh my goodness. – Oh this is fun. – [Girl in Yellow] Oh my
gosh, where’s the food? – Hey, so it’s a tropical
theme. What’s more tropical than a Hawaiian in a Hawaiian
shirt? You know what I mean? – I shoulda worn a, like a
tropical shirt under this. – Or worn a little flower in there. – What are (mumbles) that?
– That’d be– – That’d be pretty swaggy. – It’s a… It’s a paper towel. Squares are expensive. (jazzy music) – Here you go
– Thank you – Would you like a lid or anything? – I’m good. – Okay. Have a good night. – Thank you. (jazzy music) – What did you guys do with this? – I put mine in my shirt. If I’m gonna be honest. – Sponsored by GCBC. It’s alright, it’s not a true mocktail ’cause it doesn’t have the zing to it. Like it is, it’s not sparkling! – Beautiful. Beautiful. – [Camera Man] Gotta start
somewhere. Start with Blackjack. – Maybe find the Blackjack
table, that’s really easy. – [Camera Man] Yeah, let’s go. – [Callie] Is it? – Like literally you get
two cards, and like you try to get your cards to add up to 21. If you go over, you
lose, but if you’re like the closest to 21, you win. – I’m gonna take two spots
an wait for everyone else. – Okay, (mumbles) I’ll jump in – [Dealer] And, you got a
ticket too, so same thing. You got two thousand dollars there. – Okay. – Big ones on the bottom,
little ones on the top. – Got to be in Vegas because of the Lax tournament when I turn 21. – That’s amazing. – Yeah, like it’s– – We still haven’t booked our stuff for it and I’m so stressed. We like mainly know like
who’s going in our group, but it kinda keeps changing and how much we’re willing to spend kinda keeps changing for a couple of people. – Honestly just get an AirB&B
and sleep on the floor. – Well that’s what we’re
doing, but we finally found one that was perfect
and then this girl’s like sorry, it’s too much money
for me, like I’m backing out. – How much was it? – Two hundred… Per person. – Oh!
– Per person? – Like, me doing this for
real money, I would be so like emotionally invested into
like winning or losing. (graceful music) – Oh, I see the chocolate fountain. – Best believe my mouth’s
gonna be right under– (laughing) (classical music) – I’ve no idea how this works. I’m out. I’m gonna pull out– – Just enjoy.
– while I’m ahead. – Can I have one of everything? – Can I have– – I’m not even that hungry
but it all looks so good. (chatter) – My brother went to Las Vegas once. He was up twenty thousand
and lost it all… by the end of the night. – Oh my goodness. – Isn’t that like– – That’s good tuition money right there. – I know. – We probably have the least
chance of getting the token. – Yeah. – Unless one of you have. – [Camera Man] It’s
apparently the more you have– – I feel like y’all don’t have it. I feel like it’s Noah
’cause it’s not Keegan, it’s not Elisha. I saw their empty hands. – So it’s Noah. – Or it’s you. – Where do I, where would I put it? – Just kidding. – Like down the shirt? – I feel like with us it’s so
obvious, because we can’t– – I know. I don’t know where it would go. The only place I would
put it is in my shoe, but that’d be like, I
would be walking like this. – Oh that’s smart. – I have no idea how it works. I’m just pretending – [Dealer] I’m good at this game, guys. Thirteen. – One more. – [Dealer] Fourteen. – Yeah. – Yeah, yeah. – [Dealer] Fourteen. Twenty. Nice. Eleven. Seventeen. – I’ll take. – [Dealer] Twenty-three. Winners. (music drowns out other sounds) – Yeah. I made back what I lost. – I fake tanned yesterday.
You can literally see where I missed it.
– Yeah, in your knuckles. – Yeah. And I missed a fat spot like right here, but you can’t see it
unless I lift my arm up. ‘Cause I was getting ready today and I was doing my hair
and I noticed it and I went to my roommate and I
was like look at this. – You’re crazy. – I am. – I’m gonna take it before
I even turn it over. – Fourteen. – Savage. – Every time I bet more, I lose it. – How much is that?
– Sixteen. – I’ll stay. – Hey we can get a plate. – There you go. – Oh it’s like boujee plates too. – This is the cutest thing I’ve ever seen. – Fourteen. – Do you know how this game works? – Yeah. – I don’t– – Do you need help? – No I don’t, I don’t really know. – Oh you just want to get as close to 21, or you want to beat the dealer. – Okay. – I think you should bet that one. – Hey that was a good one. – I’m sorry, Elisha. – I swear you were just playing, dude. – I’m just getting all the
strawberries in the world. – I love strawberries. – [Camera Man] Oh. Hey, slow down. – Oh I’m gonna do like fifty of these, so don’t worry you’ll get footage. – [Dealer] Seventeen. (laughing) – Don’t do it. Stop. – Don’t do it.
– I’ll stay this time. – [Dealer] Eight. Nineteen. – I’ll stay. – [Dealer] Seventeen. – Did you say stay? – Yeah. – [Dealer] Sixteen. Twenty-two. Everybody wins. – Yeah. – I’m Bond. – [Blonde Girl] I don’t
want like that much chocolate because I’ll know I’ll hurt. (calming music) – [Dealer] Twenty. – I’ll stay. – [Dealer] You sure? – Pretty sure. – [Dealer] Thirteen.
– Let’s see. – [Dealer] Nineteen. – Good call.
– [Dealer] Eighteen. Twenty. (cheering) – No that was when I lost my big one. – [Girl In Yellow] Oh god,
it’s like gonna fall off. – [Blonde Girl] Oh boy, oh boy. – [Girl In Yellow] Okay. I
think that’s enough for me. – Okay, we good. This is
my dinner tonight, guys. – [Dealer] Eighteen. – Oh my gosh! It’s only fifty. How much did you bet? – Five hundred. – Five hundred? – Stop asking me questions. – Yeah can you take a picture of us later? In front of that cute backdrop? – [Camera Man] Yes, I can. – So we can be basic. – I just got chocolate all over my face. – I’m scared to eat this. – [Dealer] Eleven. Nineteen. (laughing) – I’m sure. I’m sure! – [Dealer] Twenty-One– (laughing) Eighteen, stays. Seventeen,
stays. Twenty, stays. – Been lucky two times
in a row, twenty-one. – [Dealer] Sixteen. You all win. – Oh god. – I might cash out on my chips. Elisha. E-L-I-S-H-A. (jazzy music) – I’m gonna cash out. Yay, I made fifty. – I lost money. – [Camera Man] How many did you lose? – Three hundred. Not too bad. (jazzy music) – I hate poker night. – I want to give it to one of the dealers, that’d be so funny. The goods? What goods. – These goods. I am losing money. – I got three grand right now
so I’m balling on a budget. – Hey where did they go? (dramatic music) The name’s Bond. James Bond. – Yeah buddy! – I’m so like hesitant to
like, touch anyone’s hand. – Oh, ’cause you think I have the chip. Oh. My goal is, ’cause we
gotta reach ten thousand in order to get to like the, they have like actual cocktails, or mocktails. – Mocktails. – But like they have an
actual like room for like the people that are over ten thousand. – Let’s do it then, bro. – So, let’s try to make it over ten thousand in the next hour. What was that? – I wanted to give it to
one of the security guards. – Is it Keegan? – I think it’s Keegan. – I want, there he is. – [Blonde Girl] Nope! Nope! Nope! Stay away from me. – Hey!
– Frick! – Get away from me, guys. I’m
not your, no one is my friend. They’re not my friends. – [Girl In Yellow] Keegan
just ran away saying get away from me you guys,
I don’t trust any of you. – [Camera Man] Just take all of them. Take as many as you can. (laughing) – [Girl In Yellow] I got you! – I’m not gonna get it. – No I’m not gonna check my pockets. – I’m not gonna check my pockets. – I’m not checking my pockets. – No, I’m not checking my pockets. – I’m not checking my pockets. See, I will have somebody
else check my pockets, but I’m not checking my pockets. – Don’t worry, I’m not
fat. These are for you. – I’m not checking my pockets. – I think– – You check your pockets. – Why? – Check your pockets. Do you? Oh, he has it. I think, I think Elisha has it. I checked my pockets, and I don’t have it. Why are you laughing? Did he do something? Is there something in
this? Is the chip in here? – The chip. (laughs) – I did check my pockets. – [Camera Man] Oh my goodness. – You keep saying that like you’re waiting for somebody to be like oh look! – Every time you do that, I’m like. – Let’s mingle, or whatever. – I don’t know how to bet. – I think I have two– (music drowns out other sounds) There’s two. So one here, and one there. – [Blonde Girl] (mumbles) Callie. – So I would ask for another
one. Ask for another one. – Okay.
– One more. – Yes. (laughs) – Go like this. Go like this.
Go, like that. There you go. (laughing) – Everyone’s playing this
game ’cause it’s easy. – I’m just tryna make money. (cheering) I just won! I just won. Feel pretty good ’cause I have
no idea what I’m doing, so. – When do I stop playing? When I run out? – Whenever you want. Whenever
you want to cash out. – Oh. – Alright, don’t let me
down. Don’t let me down. (cheering) – Can you do me a favor? There’s
a guy in a Hawaiian shirt in that direction, can you give him this? – No that’s him. – Yeah, I got it. No, no.
You’re good, you’re good. Thank you. I actually want
it. You want to be the guy, you want to be like one of
the last people to have it. – I heard Keegan, and I left. – Every time I see a camera,
I’m going to be paranoid now. – Hey, how’s it going?
– Hey Keegan! – I want you to guard me
and make sure like no one comes up behind me and
tries to give me anything? (sneaky music) – We’re playing this game, okay? If anyone comes up to
me asking if I’m Keegan, just be like sorry, like
he’s not like taking– – [Gary] This isn’t Keegan, yeah. – You got the wrong guy. – He can’t take any questions right now. – Don’t. Don’t talk to
him. Don’t talk to him. – Sorry. – Two more have something.
Are you betting it all? – Uh, I still got a thousand left. – So, there’s this purple
chip, whoever has it at the end of the night has
to split all their chips between the cast. I have
not gotten the chip so far, I will not get the chip, so I’m tryna keep it that way. – Should we cash out and
then go and play bingo? – Yes. (calm music) (cheering) – Gosh. Finally, after an hour. Trying to recoup my loses.
Oh that’s not a good start. – I just got random stuff.
I didn’t even have to play. Chance to play like anything. Nope, nope, no, no, no, no, no. – [Noah] You have to take it now, right. See they always like
run away, and it’s like, you have to take it. You have to take it. – No, I don’t. – Yes, you do. – [Blonde Girl] No, I don’t. – I really, I really just
need him to guard me. – [Woman] I mean– (screaming) – [Girl In Yellow] She has it. – I feel like I’m gonna
get a card I don’t want. Hit, hit. – [Dealer] Sorry. – See, if I was like somebody
who didn’t mind random people. – Gosh dang it. Yeah. Let
me bet the rest of my money. – Well I haven’t even gotten the chance to play tonight, so– – Well, please don’t stand
near me. Where’s my guard? – Your guard? – I have not gotten the chip so far, I will not get the chip, so I’m tryna keep it that way. I’m so mad. Gary did not do his job. I’m cashing out. Can you drop this on,
look, the guy behind you? – Yeah – And be like hey did you drop this? Elisha, did you drop that? – What? My mom’s calling me. – I hate you. – My mom wasn’t calling me. – Dude I’m so mad. I was
tryna, like, lose all my money and then I bet it all,
and then I double it. – Not me. – I have the chip. Okay? (laughing) It’s fine, I mean. She could
have been more creative with the way she got it
to me. How’d you guys do? – Yeah, I definitely learned a couple games that I didn’t know. – Uh, I lost all my
money and I still don’t know how to play the games. (laughing) – Yeah, I was making money, I was like I don’t know how that
happened but that’s cool, that’s another thousand dollars. – I was very conservative with my betting, but it kinda added up in the end. I like, got a thousand more chips
than I had, so that was good. – Yeah, I got a little bit of money and kind of learned a game, not really sure if I know what I was doing, but yeah. – I made four thousand at one point, and then went all in and
lost it all. That’s okay. – [Woman] What did you have to drink? – [All] Mocktails! – Thanks for joining us
guys, and you can take this. (upbeat music)
